Reflections On The Run Event
- Description
Reflections on The Run
An interactive workshop with Lindsey Freeman, Hot Boys Athletics, and Pruzan. Limited space available. Hosted Tuesday 7 May from 7pm to 9pm at Pruzan Studio (26 Drysdale, N1 6LS).
"Running is full of joy, desire, and indulgence in the pleasure and weirdness of having a body. It allows for a space of freedom - to move and be moved.” - LINDSEY FREEMAN
Join us for a creative reflection on running – the joy, pain, euphoria, and everything in between.
We'll start the evening with a discussion and Q&A between writer, sociologist and long-distance runner, Lindsey Freeman and Hot Boys Athletics founder Kimiko Ninomiya.
Followed by a Creative Workshop: Reflections on the Run, where you’ll create a piece to take away.
Tickets are £10 and purchases count towards the price of a limited-edition Pruzan t-shirt to be released at the event.
Lindsey describes her most recent book, Running, as the feminist and queer handbook of running that she always wanted but could never find. It’s a book that deeply moved us and shows that far from a solitary pursuit, running is about connecting to ourselves and each other. Copies will be available to purchase at the event.
